Fortune seekers; “aren’t we all?”

A growing and increasingly large group in society wants to offer a positive counter-voice to a government that spreads falsehoods, pursues unconstitutional measures, and actively contributes to creating crises and polarization.

The Gelukszoekers Foundation & the Here to Support Foundation are joining forces and launched a new Gelukszoekers campaign in 2024.

With this campaign, people are positively encouraged to reflect on the migration debate. Why are you allowed, as a “digital nomad,” to spend the winter in your second home in Bali, while your Indonesian cleaner, in the Netherlands, has not seen her children for 14 years because she is living here without documents? Why should the random place where you were born grant you certain privileges that someone else does not have? Is that fair? For decades, in their search for happiness, Dutch people have gladly crossed borders. For example, we established colonies in the Antilles, in Suriname, and on the Indonesian islands. Even today, Dutch people are represented on virtually every continent. This past and present contribute to the prosperity we know today. It is therefore striking that some people resent others for coming here in their search for happiness, simply because they were born somewhere else.

We believe that with more knowledge, more understanding will also arise.

The proceeds of the Gelukszoekers Foundation go entirely to the Here to Support Foundation.
