Participatory Action Research - Farm to Fork sectors

Here to Support collaborates with PICUM in a Participatory Action Research (PAR) to advocate for the rights of undocumented workers.
By partnering with a peer-researcher who has firsthand experience, we co-create a research and action. Our focus is on collaboration with workers from diverse undocumented communities across Latin America, Africa, and Asia.
We have organised focus groups, gathering insights from workers in various sectors in the food industry: people working in farms, in restaurants or in delivery. During the first focus group we will discuss labour disputes and talk about issues people have with their employers & with regularization. In the second focus group we spoke about solutions and advocacy for change.
It became clear that something is missing in our Dutch legal framework: a route to regularise (obtain a residency permit) by working.
